Frequently Asked Questions
Trash valet service is provided six nights per week, Monday through Saturday. There is no service on Sunday unless otherwise agreed upon by the property.
Six-night service helps prevent overflow, odors, pests, and excessive weekend buildup, especially in high-occupancy communities or warmer climates.
Trash should be placed outside your door no earlier than 6:00 PM and no later than the community’s designated cutoff time (typically 8:00 PM).
Pickup typically occurs between 6:00 PM and 11:00 PM, depending on building size, layout, and nightly volume.
Trash left out after the cutoff time will need to wait until the next scheduled service night.
Most major holidays are observed. If service is paused, residents will be notified in advance and service resumes the next scheduled night.
Allowed items typically include:
Bagged household trash
Tied trash bags (no loose trash)
Flattened Boxes
Prohibited items include:
Bulk furniture
Electronics
Construction materials
Hazardous waste
Recycling service depends on the property’s agreement. If offered, recycling must be sorted properly and placed in provided containers.
Yes. Trash must be placed in approved valet trash containers provided by White Glove Trash Valet.
Leaking or overfilled bags may not be collected. Residents are encouraged to double-bag heavy or wet trash to avoid spills.
Common reasons include:
Trash placed out too early or too late
Improper container use
Prohibited items
Overflow due to excess volume
Not necessarily. Many communities find that six-night service reduces maintenance costs, overflow cleanup, and resident complaints, offsetting the added service frequency.
Valet staff transport trash directly to the community’s designated compactor or dumpster area the same night.
Residents should report issues through the property’s preferred communication channel (resident portal, leasing office, or maintenance request).
White Glove Trash Valet offers:
Consistent staffing
Six-night reliability
Cleaner common areas
Reduced dumpster overflow
Additional services (dog park cleanup, common-area tidy-ups)
This improves overall community appearance and resident satisfaction.
